MAP Test: Student Expectations and Helpful Hints

The link below (MAP Test Warm-up) includes a video that has been shared with students during our morning announcements. This video includes helpful hints and guidance so students are aware of what to expect when taking the MAP Test for ELA and Math.

As we look ahead....

April 1st is this Friday and that's no joke! Before we know it, the flowers and trees will be blooming, the bees will be busy pollinating, the days will become warmer, Spring Break will occur, and then Memorial Day and your child transitioning to 7th grade will be right around the corner!

This week MAP testing begins! Although the information has been on the morning announcements for all students, we ask that you partner with us and please remind students to take the test seriously and that they have the opportunity to earn 2 Chick-fil-a gift cards (one for ELA and one for math) for growth on their MAP tests.

This week we also begin the Month of the Military Child where we honor our military children and families through various recognitions, activities, and celebrations!

We are also rolling out a unique opportunity for our students to be a part of the Parade of Wreaths Ceremony at Joint Base by entering an essay contest with the theme "The Cost of Freedom." The Parade of Wreaths is an annual ceremony that started in 1983, as a way to recognize the true meaning of the Memorial Day Holiday. Please encourage your child(ren) to participate. Please see the details/ information below, which has also been shared with students on the morning announcements. The due date for all submissions is Wednesday, April 6th, 2022.
