Holiday Festivities At Gayman
During the week there has been a whirlwind of holiday activities throughout the school. We started this week with a holiday sing-along and ended with many classroom parties!
Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday break!
Martin Luther King Jr. Day Of Service
The CB Cares committee will be hosting a voluntary Martin Luther King Jr day of service on January 19th. Any child can help participate in an activity during their recess. The activities include sorting books for Philadelphia Reads, sorting can goods for the local food bank, coloring quilt squares, making rainbow loom bracelets for Poverty Resolutions and creating snack bags.
We are going to be collecting books, canned good and non perishable food items, and school supplies ( crayons, markers, pencils, etc.) Boxes will be outside the old office starting January 4th.
Holiday Gift of Giving
The Bucks County Schools Intermediate Unit (BCIU) is the managing agent for Region #8 (Bucks County) for the state's Homeless Children's Initiative (HCI).
The HCI ensures that homeless children and youth are immediately enrolled in school. Typically, the HCI provides referrals, develops strategies, encourages parents as to how to best help their children in school, and responds to requests for school supplies and school activity fees.
With the help of the Gayman Elementary School community, we were able to donate $500 in gift cards to the Homeless Children's Initiative, $500 to Wounded Warriors and over $100 to the Holiday Giving Project.
Thank you for contributing to these worthwhile causes and have a happy holiday season!!!
