Happy Sunday Phelan Parents-
I hope everyone has had a tremendous Easter weekend. We are back to the grind tomorrow and I am super excited. We are cruising into the final furlong of the year and as we creep closer, the school will get busier with grade-level events, campus events, field trips, Kingdom challenges, etc. Please be sure to read campus communications to ensure you stay on top.
This upcoming week is going to be great. Monday is a dress down Pajama day so we can "relax, we got this!" AND Then FRIDAY! Friday is a doozy; Kingdom Color Out and Kingdom Challenges, Knight Store, and PTO Candy Sales. Please encourage your student to support their kingdom by dressing out in their Kingdom colors, continue to encourage your student to read and hold the Knight's code to earn their Knight Bucks, and please send cash with your student Friday for candy sales (Pre-K, Kinder, and 1st grade parents please be sure to send the money in a Ziploc with your student's name).
Other than moving mountains, Phelan will operate normally. Have a great week and please reach out of you have any questions.

Monday: "Relax. We GOT THIS! It's Pajama Day! We encourage all students to wear their pajamas on Monday so we can focus our efforts on learning! Please send $1 with your student. Proceeds go back to Phelan for future events.
Friday: Kingdom Color Out! Knight Store! PTO Candy Sales! Please note that candy sales is a separate event. Candy will $1-$3.
Important Reminders
- Attendance is vital. A student cannot learn necessary curriculum if they are not in class. School starts at 7:30 AM.
- Kinder parents who attempted to order pictures after Tuesday, please note that the images are being processed and you will be able to order soon. I will release the information as soon as possible.
- Phelan spirit wear is on sale at the campus! The nice people at Southern Ink Envy brought us inventory this week for immediate purchase. Get yours while it lasts!
Continued Reminders:
Possible retention meetings have begun. Please check your students academic progress. Please plan to meet with your student's teacher in the event our student is struggling with grade level content.
Be sure your student is reading 30 minutes EVERY SINGLE NIGHT to earn their Knight Bucks We will visit the Knight store in February. Every night a student can earn 1 knight buck and February will be here before we know it. Reading is THE gateway to all learning.
Parent Parking: DO NOT PARK on the bus driveway road. This is a traffic violation indicated by the painted curbs that read, "No parking."
Parent Parking: Do NOT PARK in the front parking Lot and walk your student to the Phelan doors in the morning drop-off.
Every Phelan employee and student MUST wear an ID and lanyard. This is a district and campus requirement. A student who is not wearing their lanyard will be issued 1 warning with a fix-it ticket. The second violation is lunch detention. Multiple lunch detentions leads to in-school suspension. If your student has lost their ID and/or lanyard, your student can purchase a new one at the front desk.
