Happy Friday Afternoon Shark Families!

We finished a week full of learning and growing. We are at the half way point of the 2nd nine weeks. Students and teachers are working hard daily in their classes. We are also starting field trips this month as well. We are so glad to give students the opportunities to visit off campus areas to see learning in the real world. We are in need of PTO volunteers! If you would like to participate and help, please feel free to nominate yourself or someone! As always, thank you for continuing to foster the love of learning at home as well!

Committed to Success,

Heather Touchberry

Our PTO would love your feedback! Would you take a few minutes to fill out this survey so we know how to help?

PTO Parent Survey:

Monthly Spotlight on Instruction

Each month we will honor one teacher a month! This month we are recognizing Mrs. C. Martin! Although this is her first year at MAST, she has done a tremendous job with incorporating STEM and moving her students through guided reading groups. Just recently they finished a unit on predicting and making inferences using the text of the Pigeon books! Thank you, Mrs. Martin for taking our Engineer and Design Process to the next level daily! To honor our teachers monthly, we have partnered with Pizza Inn. Mrs. C. Martin will get a big basket of goodies!

Book Fair

Students have been asking about it for weeks and now it is finally time! Coming November 29-December 3 is our annual Book Fair! Immediately following Thanksgiving break and just in time for Christmas gifts, the Book Fair will be held in the library, and parents will be able to come in before the Holiday Spectacular-see graphic below! More details will be coming about Scholastic's "ewallet" that allows you to put money on an account so you do not have to send cash. There will be something for all (children's) ages and price ranges. Meet me at the fair!
