Student Visits to Colleges
FALL COLLEGE VISITS TO NSHS
Every year colleges and university admissions officers visit NSHS. Very often these are the same admissions officers reading our students applications for admission. We highly encourage seniors to meet with these representatives. This is one way to "demonstrate interest" in a college and many colleges now track this in the application process.
In google classroom, seniors and juniors can see these visits in the calendar section under "About". Everyone can see when these visits are here: http://nshs.northsmithfieldschools.com/content/college-visits-nshs-students
Before registering for a college visit, consider the following:
1. Sign up only for colleges you will probably apply to or have interest in.
2. Be on time
3. Ask GOOD questions
4. Dress nicely.
Students can sign up for a visit here: https://goo.gl/forms/tXxKwGalnDL0Mj7d2

New England Board of Higher Education Tuition Break
The New England Board of Higher Education Regional Student Program offers discounted tuition to New England Residents for a select group of majors.
In most cases, the regional tuition covers all four years of the program. For some majors, however, the regional tuition does not take effect until later in the program. When tuition is reduced from out-of-state to regional, merit scholarships are reduced to the corresponding regional scholarship amount.
