1st Week of School Information

We look forward to welcoming our first group of students on Monday!

The schedule for the first week of school will be as follows:

Monday, August 10th - Last Name: A-F (8:30-3:45)

Tuesday, August 11th - Last Name: G-L (8:30-3:45)

Wednesday, August 12th - Last Name: M-R (8:30-3:45)

Thursday, August 13th - S-Z (8:30-3:45)

Friday, August 14th - Remote Learners - ½ day only - (8:30-12:00 )

*Friday is developed for in person orientation with our remote learners. If your family does not feel comfortable with in person orientation, please contact the classroom teacher.

Bus transportation will run accordingly and allow our drivers the opportunity to work with students on safety protocols. There will be no bus services on Friday, August 14th.

Frequently Asked Questions

What will the first day of school look like?

We are excited to welcome students back in small groups. We will ask that students stay in their vehicle until 8:10 a.m. Teachers will greet students in the front of the school. They will each be holding a sign so that students can easily identify who their teacher is. Students will practice social distancing.

Should my child bring school supplies on the first day of school?


What if I walk to school with my child?

If you are walking to school with your child, please make sure that you are wearing a face covering on school grounds. Students will also be asked to wear a face covering during arrival and dismissal.

What will dismissal look like?

Students will be dismissed through multiple exits with staggered times. Students will wear face coverings and practice social distancing.

How can I help to speed up the pickup lane?

On your child's first day of school, we will send home two identification cards for you to keep in your vehicle. These cards will then allow our staff to relay information to classroom teachers through their communication device. Please utilize these student identification cards on a daily basis.

Will my child attend PE and Music?

Yes, Mrs. Thibault and Mrs. Havranek are excited to welcome students to their classrooms. Extensive protocol is in place to maintain a safe learning environment for our students.

What will lunch look like?

Students will eat in the lunchroom. The lunch schedule has been modified to ensure social distancing. 3-4 students will sit at each table.

Can we take pictures by the school on the first day?

We would encourage you to stop by this weekend if you would like to take a photo by the school or the marquee. We are implementing multiple safety measures to minimize large gatherings, including the first day of school.

My child is a remote learner and we will not be attending school on Friday, August 14th. How can I ensure that we will have the necessary learning materials?

We would encourage you to reach out to the classroom teacher to communicate this need. We will have a materials pickup on Friday, August 14th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Staff would be happy to meet you at the pickup lane to facilitate this process.

Traffic Reminders

Below, you will see a map for our student pick up and drop off procedures. As mentioned in the Morton COVID Protocol document, we will ask families to keep social distancing and student safety in mind at arrival and dismissal. Students will need to wear masks as they enter the school building. At dismissal, we will ask parents to remain in their vehicles. Please do not approach the school, we will have the students walk to you. I would also encourage all families to wear a face covering when on school grounds. During the first week of school, we will send home laminated cards to assist with student pick up. We will ask you to keep your student card readily available in your vehicle. This visual will help our staff to identify your child as quickly as possible.
