Promethean Options

  • Promethean Clickers for Beginners - This course will provide the basic 'how-tos" using the ActivVotes, ActivExpressions and ActivSlate. Includes questioning "on the fly" for instant feedback from students. (1 hour course)

  • Promethean Clickers Advanced - This course will show participants how to create embedded teacher paced questioning and student paced questioning with the ActivExpressions. Teachers should bring content related questions and a quiz or test to use. (1 hour course)

  • Promethean Basics - This course is for beginner users to Promethean and Promethean ActivInspire software. Participants will learn how to use the Promethean Board including pens and calibration. Participants will learn how to create basic ActivInspire flipcharts and annotate over images, documents, websites, and media. (1 to 2 hour course)

  • Promethean Intermediate - This session will provide the participant with tips on how to begin creating a flipchart for a lesson. Participants will also learn how to import existing PowerPoints and make them more interactive in ActivInspire. (1 to 2 hour course)

  • Promethean Advanced - The teacher will create ActivInspire flipcharts for use in their content area using a variety of tools to engage students and enhance interaction of instruction. Teachers should bring a specific topic/lesson so that they can walk away with a ActivInspire flipchart lesson ready to use in the classroom. (1 to 2 hour course)

iPad Options

  • iPad Wizardry - Come hop aboard the iPad Express to learn how to use engaging apps with your students. All Muggles welcome, this challenge-based training is ideal for anyone integrating iPads into their curriculum. Please be sure to bring your iPad! A list of necessary apps will be sent prior to training. (2 hour course)

  • Preventing iPad Zombies - This course is designed for teachers/support staff and will focus on ways to engage students using iPads and classroom management strategies. (1 hour course)

  • iTunes U for High School - This course is for High School teachers to engage students with iPads. iTunes U allows teachers to share entire courses with students or have them access specific materials for flipped classroom lessons, extension of classroom activities, or remediation. Participants should bring course related files and will walk away with a course created in iTunes U. (2 hour course)

Google Options

  • Google Drive Basics - Google Drive is a file storage service which enables user cloud storage, file sharing and collaborative editing. Google Drive is now the home of Google Docs, a suite of productivity applications, that offer collaborative editing on documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more. In this session, teachers will learn the basics of Google Drive and how to use Google Drive in the classroom with students. (2 hour course)

  • Google Drive Intermediate - In this session, teachers will learn advanced uses of Google Drive including Drawings (for graphic organizers and image creation) and Templates. Teachers will also learn how to use these tools in the classroom with students. Attendees should have basic knowledge of Google Drive and/or have attended Google Drive Basics training. (1 to 2 hour course)

  • Google Drive Advanced - In this session, teachers will learn advanced uses of Google Drive including Forms (for creation of quizzes, surveys, and more) and Google Add-Ons. Teachers will create a variety of Forms during the course. (2 hour course)

  • Searching the Goolaxy - Learn how to effectively and efficiently search the vast Goolaxy to return the best results for you and your students. (1 hour course)

  • Google Maps & Earth in Any Subject - Come learn ways to integrate Google Maps & Earth in ANY content area. Lesson ideas and resources will be shared. (1 hour course)

  • Keep Calm & Create a Class Website - Come begin to create your classroom website with us using Weebly, a simple, easy & free website creation tool! Classroom websites are ideal for all teachers to effectively communicate with students and parents. (1 to 2 hour course)

  • Taste of Twitter - Come learn how to use Twitter to expand your Professional Learning Network (PLN). Be sure to bring your own device...tablets, phones, and laptops are all welcome! (1 hour course)

  • Web 2.0 Tools - Web 2.0 is the second generation in the development of the Internet that focuses on user collaboration, sharing of user-generated content, and social networking. Web 2.0 tools allow students to become more engaged in their learning through interactivity and creativity. The class will focus on a variety of free tools and their application to encourage student engagement during instruction. (1 hour course)

Edmodo Boot Camp

This self-paced eCourse will teach you everything to get started using Edmodo (an online Learning Management System) with your students. You will learn how to create an account and create groups. Participants will learn how to create and use notes, alerts, assignments, quizzes, and polls. Additional tasks covered include sharing links and files. Successful completion includes 2 CPE hours.
