Campus Visits - What Are They & How Do I Sign Up?

Hello everyone!

It has been so wonderful doing campus walk throughs the first couple of weeks of the school year to meet everyone! Now that the school year is underway, I have begun doing "Campus Visits" which I wanted to explain a little more.

Campus Visits allow me the chance to work with you on integrating technology with the FWISD curriculum. I can help you with any technology integration questions you have whether it's ways to make your flipcharts more engaging, to trying out new apps like Flipgrid, to helping you set up ways for your students to turn in assignments digitally to you! There's an endless list of possibilities that we can work on together so please utilize me as needed so we can make great things happen in your classroom!

When I do campus visits, I will always send an email letting you know the DATE and TIME I will be on your campus. In the email, I will also include a clickable graphic which will take you to a Google Form. Simply click on the picture and fill out the form with the information it's asking for. (If for any reason you click on the graphic and the link doesn't work, the link will also be included under the graphic) This lets me have a record of your request and helps me make a schedule for visiting teachers during my campus visit.

I do my best to accommodate the times requested. Sometimes I'm on campuses in the AM and then I will try to be on that campus in the PM the next time to make sure everyone has a chance to meet with me during their planning time or after school. If at any time you really want to meet with me about something, and the times I send don't work for you, please let me know and I'll do what I can to make it happen!

I look forward to a great school year working with you!

More About Me

Prior to becoming a TLC, I was a classroom teacher for 8 years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have had the pleasure of teaching Pre-K, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd during those eight years. I also interned in Kinder and 4th during my college years! I have taught in self-contained classrooms, as well as departmentalized classrooms.

I'm happy that I've taught such a wide range of grade levels as it truly helps me to understand the needs of each level and how different they all are. I've always been the type to try new things and just jump right in! I hope to help everyone try new things this year in regards to tech integration with the curriculum! If you're afraid to try new things, that's OK, because I'm not, and I'm here to support you! No matter how long you've been teaching, digital learning and tech integration is very possible and can be done!
