Updates/Reminders
EVAAS:
- During the week of April 30th, support teachers that have worked with students for the entire year should come to that grade levels PLC. During PLC, will be having discussions about time/percentages of instruction and how students will be claimed. If you have served students during that block it would help for you to be part of this conversation. Please make plans to attend next weeks PLC's.
Learning Walks:
- If you had a Learning Walk on April 18th, please give us feedback here.
- We will continue this week with Part 2 of our Learning Walks. On April 25th, teams will meet in the Conference Room for an introduction to the focus, walk through 3 classrooms briefly (no more than 5 minutes each), and then debrief for a few minutes-all in the space of 1/2 hour! We are arranging coverage for your rooms and the schedule is here. The form we will use for walkthroughs is here. IAs, your coverage schedule is here.
- Any questions about the Learning Walk - please send to Christina/Larisa.
- Our PBIS team met this week to look at our school's discipline data for this year. We also problem solved some solutions to our noisy hallways. Here is some behavior data so you can see our data, too.
- As you can see over the past few months we have seen an increase in undesirable student behaviors. With the warmer weather coming and changes to schedules/routines with the craziness of the end of year we want to do something proactive as a school to encourage positive student behavior. We are excited to announce that our school will be starting an End of Year behavior challenge. We will send out more details this week so be on the look out!
