OVERVIEW & SERVICES
Educational Technology Regional Coaches can provide the following services based on the needs and goals of schools and networks. We know “engaging all teachers in meaningful professional development on innovative teaching practices is key to successful technology integration,” (CoSN Driving K-12 Innovation/2019 HURDLES).
Partner with school leaders to develop a vision for instructional technology use, guiding them in 1:1 best practices using the ETLS 1:1 Toolkit, especially professional learning plans that support school goals.
Promote rigorous use of district-adopted digital curriculum.
Co-plan and co-teach with teacher leaders in order to Integrate instructional technology into classroom learning, providing students with learning experiences in the 4 Cs: collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and communication.
Mentor teacher leaders in digital coaching.
Provide professional learning and support (e.g. coaching) for teachers to swim in the SAMR pool in order to move our students from consumers to creators in the learning process, introduce real world experts and authentic audiences, improve feedback, differentiation and student engagement.
Facilitate students’ use of technology so they may demonstrate and accelerate their learning across all 4 ELA domains (reading, writing, listening and speaking). Prepare students for ACCESS.
Deliver professional learning for Schoology, Google Suites, Google Classroom, Seesaw, and other digital tools. Check out our professional learning menu for additional topics.
Lead programs and provide recommendations for Digital Citizenship curriculum to meet the needs of students, teachers, parents, and the community.
Communicate student data privacy best practices including ATM reporting.
Collaborate with STRs/STPs to create a plan to leverage district device inventory software.
