May 16th- Senior Walk: Students who signed up to participate in the Senior Walk at CMS should bring their Cap and Gowns to wear for the event. Students should report to the College and Career Room by 8AM.
2022 Yearbooks Have Arrived
Savannah Philharmonic All-Star Ensemble
The Philharmonic Orchestra hosted an Honor Band event for high school students last weekend. Students had the opportunity to rehearse and perform under the direction of Maestro Keitaro Harada, conductor of the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra.
Islands students that were selected and performed were Taylor Allen, Kamyrn Clark, Edan Killough, Omaree Varner, and Josh Solis.

End of Year Technology Return Schedule
End of Year Technology Return Schedule
- Seniors – we will collect ALL senior chromebooks on Thursday, May 12
- Juniors – we will collect ALL junior chromebooks on Monday, May 16.
- Sophomores – we will collect all sophomore chromebooks on Tuesday, May 17
- Freshmen – we will collect all freshmen chromebooks on Wednesday, May 18.
Note:
1) Any device not turned in on the due date will be locked where it cannot be used. Few exceptions will apply and will need to be approved by learning commons staff and administration.
2). Once the chromebooks are collected, we will no longer issue day loaners directly to students.
Student Voice Matters
While last Monday marked our last Advisement Circle Conversation, we want to continue to hear from you about your experience this school year! We invite you to complete this final reflection because we value your thoughts and want to continue to improve your school learning experience.
GOAL: 500 Student Reflections (If Goal is reached, we will have a year end schoolwide celebration in May)

Looking for Student Exchange Host Families - SY22-23
In 3 weeks current Greenheart Exchange/Islands students Mayu, Natalia and Oskar will be returning to their home countries and we are actively seeking hosts for the 2022-23 school year. The best time to apply is now! You’ll get to know your student well in advance, meet their parents online, and plan for their arrival in late July. The 5 available spaces fill quickly so please don’t wait. Please consider hosting one of the fabulous students we have!
Host Family Referral Form – complete this form and if the family you refer is new to Greenheart and ends up hosting a qualifying student, you will earn a $200 Visa gift card!

Used Book Drive
IHS PTSA is sponsoring a Used Book Drive the week of May 16 for gently-used, supplementary (not provided by the district) paperback books. There will be a bin near the front office. Accepted items include the following:
· novels for English/composition classes
· supplementary texts for history/government classes
· English/Spanish and English/French dictionaries
· AP study guides
