Drop Off and Pick-Up Procedure (Modifications to Departure Procedure)
Purposes: To ensure vehicles are off HWY 164, remain efficient, and maintain student safety.
All of the following modifications came from the Sheriff's department or our district parent sounding board; thanks so much for your help and ideas!
If you are arriving to FLES prior to 3:10 pm please find a parking spot to park. All families parked in the parking lot, please remain parked and come meet your child on the sidewalk, by the crosswalk to the main entrance of the building.
Our Departure staff facilitation will begin at 3:10 pm each day. A staff member will be monitoring the entrance to our parking lot and directing vehicles to park or join the pick-up line.
- Staff will be assisting with pick-up until 3:30. Parents are encouraged to arrive anytime between 3:10 - 3:25 to pick their child up from school. Please plan accordingly when you drop off and picking up your child(ren). There is a 10 minute drop off and 15 minute pick up window with two to three adults on duty. Not every child must be dropped off at 8:05 a.m. or picked up at 3:15 p.m. These are very congested times in the parking lot.
