Principal Message
We continue to have parents wonder how their student is receiving hall passes, after the parent has requested for them not to have one.
If you are worried about the "push-back"- reiterate to the student that their parent has signed off on the request to limit hall passes.
We have CC parents on emails requesting their student not get hall passes, so know we are on the same page.
The No Hall Pass List- is not something we do without parent input. PLEASE review your list of students who are on the list.

As we approach the latter half of the year, admin would like to offer departments the opportunity to request additional/special one-time items or supplies. All departments are eligible for this request, including Student Support folks. Please look at the directions and meet as a department. These requests will be considered following our return from Spring Break. If you have any questions or need assistance determining cost or feasibility, please contact Melissa or Lopez prior to filling out the form.

Leap into 9th Grade- Summer Job Opportunity
Leap into 9th Grade will prepare students to excel in high school and get a head start in working with their new teachers and peers in the summer. The curriculum includes growth mindset, math concepts, career exploration, and high school readiness skills. Students will earn a 0.5 high school elective credit upon successful completion of the program.
Program Dates & Times:
Mon-Fri, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
June 26 - July 14: Cleveland, Ida B. Wells (tentative)
July 17 - August 4: Benson, Franklin, Grant, Jefferson, Lincoln, McDaniel, Roosevelt,
Tentative PD day: Friday, June 23, 2023
# of Hours:
3.75 hrs/day for 14 days + 1 day PD + 8 hours planning
Admin Pay and # of Hours:
$68.22/hour
4 hrs/day for 14 days, Up to 12 additional hours

Middle College Updates
Mid term checks have been sent out to Beyond High School students for those currently enrolled in a PCC course. Please check in with your student to see how they are doing in their PCC class.
If your student has textbooks from previous terms, please return them to the Middle College office.
Students should be following their PCC schedule on flex days.
PCC Middle College Office is open on Fridays, 9am-4pm during the registration period. Please stop by throughout the week to register for Spring Term. The last day to register for Spring term is March 24th!
