Looking Ahead- Center Hours
As we gather benchmark data and work samples from your child, we will be making a decision on the type of support that will best meet their educational needs. Your child may need required weekly center hours or weekly Zoom check-ins to ensure that those needs are being met to the best of our abilities.
I will be reaching out to each family individually next week to discuss your child's benchmark data and to plan for future Zoom times and center visits.
Picture Day Information
LOCATION: PILA NORTH
Drop in the PILA North Center between 9:30-11:30am on Friday 10/1 to have your child's fall picture taken. Senior pictures will be scheduled for a later date. No money due until pictures are returned.
Progress Report/ Grade Card Information
- Next week is Week 6. We do not issue progress reports, but parents you should be checking your child's grades via the dashboard once per week at the very least. Be aware of where they are and reach out if you need help getting them back on track.
- FALL BREAK will be October 4-8. Students will have no NEW assignments during the break, but may work on missing/redos to bring grades up.
- Grades for quarter one will be accepted through midnight on 10/10. Students will not be able to change any grades from Q1 after this date.
- Grade cards for Quarter 1 will be issued on 10/13.
A Few Housekeeping Notes...
- Drop off students at the center doors at each respective location. For now, temperatures must be taken before your child can enter. Please wait until we wave to leave.
- Teachers arrive at appx.7:45am. Do not leave your child unless the door is unlocked and Mrs. Goodman or Mr. Henderson is at the center. They may not enter or wait in the gyms of either school.
- If you need to make arrangements for an earlier drop off or if your child needs to ride the bus in or out, please contact Mrs. Goodman for South Polk or Mr. Henderson at CMS prior to signing up.
- Pickup is any time before 3pm. We recommend by 2 if they are staying all day so you don't get caught up in car rider lines.
- Please put the approximate time of drop off pickup in the comments section of the sign up sheet.
- If a student is here during lunch time (@11:45), we can get lunches from the cafeteria
