Cannabis, has many different names, it is often referred to as Pot, Marijuana or Weed, along with other names. It is the most common illicit drug in Australia, and almost a third of the population have used it. People take the drug because it heightens their mood, and often users fell euphoria, have hallucinations, or paranoia. However good it may feel at the time, it isn't good for the body.

Effects
Short Term effects include:
- Anxiety and paranoia
- Impaired memory
- Difficulty in thinking
- Learning difficulties
- Lack of attention and focus
- Poor driving skills
Long Term Effects Include:
- Respiratory problems
- Heightened risk of infections, especially the lungs
- Poor short-term recall
- Inability to shift attention normally
- Inability to understand complex information
- An increased risk of developing lung, head and neck cancers
- Lack of motivation
