BLAZER NEWS AND REMINDERS

WEEK OF 7 DECEMBER 2015

Grades, Graduation, and This Year's Targets (History & Our Student Goals)

Blazer Staff:

Our Lexile focus feeds into our second goal this year ...

That all students will meet grade-level and course-specific curriculum standards each year.

Although the academic focus is set on the FOUR CORES ... every course ... every discipline connects and supports every student in this goal.

In 2014-2015, 88% of all students passed all core classes (SS, ELA, Math, Sci) with a grade of 60% or higher

**This Year's Focus/Goal: 2015-2016, 90% of all students will pass all core classes (SS, ELA, Math, Sci) with a grade of 60% or higher

In 2014-2015, 44% of FARM students passed all core classes (SS, ELA, Math, Sci) with a grade of 60% or higher

**This Year's Focus/Goal: In 2015-2016, 48% of FARM students passed all core classes (SS, ELA, Math, Sci) with a grade of 60% or higher

Think about every action and tool you've used to support students.

Take a quick look at this link ... although posted in 2009 ... it has a few good ideas and tools you might have used in the past.

  • Take time to email the teacher your Blazer Block Student is working with
  • Coordinate with MRS. ERNST on NHS Tutoring!!!!!!!!
  • Share ideas with fellow teachers who your BBSs are going to
  • Remember, you can always call home about your BBSs ... if you believe there is a reason to do so
