SAT Update
Students should check potential college/university websites for college admissions requirements. More than 1,240 of the nation's 2,330 bachelor's degree-granting schools have said they will not require students to submit ACT/SAT scores when they apply for fall 2021 admission, according to an update from The National Center for Fair & Open Testing.
Although, if students are interested in taking the SAT, PSAT or ACT earlier, they can sign up to take the test at one of the local test sites.

College Visits Are Still Happening!
Please consider attending the meetings for the schools that interest you. Also, let your teacher know you will be missing the learning support time for that day. You are still responsible for any work missed.

Who is strongly considering WSU and wants a shot at Regents Scholarship?
- Are you applying to WSU?
- Do you have a 3.6 or higher GPA?
- Are you interested in the Regents Scholarship?
[Winners of the Regents Scholars award get $4,000 per academic year for four years. Those students will then compete for the Distinguished Regents Scholars Award, which covers full tuition and fees for four years, approximately $42,000]
If so, please write an essay about a time you had to overcome adversity and what you learned from it. Please post essays under classwork in the senior google classroom. Deadline October 9th.
Washington Youth Academy
Next classes for 2021 are January 16 and July 17. It’s expected the capacity of the next few classes will be significantly reduced due to social distancing requirements. We recommend completing your application now, so that you can be prepared and considered for admission.
Accepting applications NOW.
Deadline for Senior photo submission is NOVEMBER 1st.
Pictures need to meet the following guidelines:
- For best results use a closer shot that is the chest and face, or a three-quarter body shot from the knee up. Full body pictures often don’t turn out as well when printed.
- Make sure that you are sending in a high resolution digital image 600 dpi is best.
- Please AVOID any t-shirts/hoodies with logos or graphics advertising products or brands, or any images in the background promoting products or brands. We cannot print these pictures as that is considered advertising and has to be school board approved.
Our user ID code is 415466963
Remember the deadline this year is NOVEMBER 1, 2020.
(*Note: Senior photos are separate to the "Grad Ad" Photos, these will be submitted at a later date.)
If you have questions about your picture, please contact the yearbook adviser, Theresa Meyers at: meyers@skschools.org or 360-874-5706.
