Mark Twain's Life.
On Nov. 30, 1835 in the town of Florida MO Samuel Longhorn Clemens was born. His parents were John Marshall and Jane Lampton Clemens and he had five older siblings. When he was born he had poor health. Because of this he couldn't go to school or play outside with the other kids until he was nine. When he was four his family moved to Hannibal MO, and when he was twelve his father died of pneumonia.
- A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain.
- Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear.
- Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.
- Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint.
