Fall in the Field Filling up Fast

It's not too late to spend fall outside with your students

Registration is going strong

Greetings from Southern Oregon University's Siskiyou Environmental Education Center (SEEC)! It's been an amazing spring here at SEEC headquarters. Our popular Fall in the Field program is back stronger than ever, and teachers like you have taken notice. Our registration opened on April 29th and it has been inspiring to see how many teachers in the Rogue Valley and beyond are committed to bringing their students outside to learn about the environment.

Our day programs at the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument are almost completely booked in September and only a few spots remain in October. Our residential program at the Deer Creek Center in Selma still has spots remaining in the beginning of September, when our Graduate Student instructors are at their energetic peak, and in late October, when the lessons have been polished to near perfection. There is even still space to spend three nights with us at Deer Creek, and get the most out of the experience like one passionate teacher has already chosen to do.

With all that said don't forget that we still have our pilot program at Ashland Pond this year! It's a chance to have your students take part in the restoration of one of the best wildlife habitats within Ashland City Limits. If you want to be a part of this new opportunity you had better hurry as there are only four spots left!

How do I register for this program?

We're glad you asked. We will be accepting registrations until the first few weeks in September, but it is best if you reserve your spots now before they are all gone. To register, please click on the following link http://www.sou.edu/ee/fitfregistration.html. Once you are on our website you can peruse the Fall in the Field schedule to see what dates remain, and register your class for one of the best outdoor experiences in southern Oregon. Other ways to keep up with Fall in the Field news are to like the SEEC Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Siskiyou-Environmental-Education-Center/166724920012197?fref=ts, follow our Blog https://seecing.wordpress.com/, or email us at seecinginfo@gmail.com.
