Pine River Area Schools Update
Spring 2022
School Community Letter
Dear School Community Members,
It appears spring has finally arrived and we find ourselves in the final weeks of our 2021-2022 school year. Our seniors last day of school is May 10, 2022 and for everyone else it will be June 10, 2022, which will be a half day! As the 1980's hair band Europe would sing, "It's the FINAL countdown!"
Below is a list of district-wide upcoming events for May and June including high school graduation, field trips, band concerts, and more. We may only have six short weeks left, but they are jam-packed with all kinds of amazing things happening in each of our buildings.
Spring high school athletics are in full swing (pun intended). We'd love to see you come out and support our baseball, softball and track teams. Most home events for the spring 2022 athletic season are free admission with concessions also available.
Please check out our home page http://www.pineriver.org for more information regarding these events and all our upcoming activities.

All Sports Day
May 7th is All Sports Day where the Bucks will host several schools for a track invitational as well as varsity softball and baseball tournaments. Events will begin at 10:00 a.m. There will be a $5 parking/entry fee per vehicle. Our boosters will be serving up their famous chicken dinner with all the fixins' for a nominal price of $8.00/dinner ( $6.00 for student athletes in uniform)! We could use some volunteers that day to help with track events. Please contact one of our track coaches (Brian Jackson or Trevor Holmes) or our Athletic Director (Shawn Ruppert) if you are able to help.

K-3 summer school will focus on math and reading skills. 4-7 summer school will also focus on math as well as reading gap interventions. High school credit recovery will focus on credit recovery and readiness for the 2022-2023 school year.
Invitations to attend elementary and middle school summer school should be mailed out next week. School Bond Updates
The school's construction management firm and architect are finalizing our bus garage and baseball/softball announcer's booths. We are hopeful to have the pavilion ready at the elementary school for the new school year. We will be turning our attention to the bond final punch list shortly and the board is still reflecting on how to utilize any remaining contingency funds.
