New Beginnings

The beginning of a new year, the first of a new month, the start of a new week, the sunrise of a new day... I have a bit of a love affair with "newness." WHY? Because I make mistakes, I stumble and fall, and sometimes I just want to scream "DO OVER!" On those days, I go to bed with a heavy heart, praying for strength in the morning. Then, as if by some miracle, it happens. The sun rises again. A new day dawns. And guess what? I GET MY DO OVER!

The beginning of 2016 brings with it a chance for us to come to terms with our mistakes of 2015. Recognize them for what they were, learn from them, and embrace the new mercies of today. My family did just that this week. We all sat down and acknowledged some things we want to change in various aspects of our lives and made action plans to facilitate that change. One of my goals is to grab that new mercy by the horns, so to speak, and use it to help us have a wonderful second semester. I will help my children finish our school year strong, with renewed inspiration for the spring. I will find joy in the journey. I will not be weary in well doing. Who's with me?

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ~ Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)

Foundations Fun Day

Please join us on January 13th for a Foundations Fun Day. We will meet at 10 a.m. and the students will all work through stations reciting the memory work from weeks 1-12. As they work their way "Around the Memory Work", they will get a sense of what a Memory Master proof looks and feels like, but in a fun, relaxed way. We will end the day with popcorn and cotton candy at noon. Foundations and Essentials classes will resume on January 20th.

Informational Meetings

I am hosting 2 informational meetings this month. The first will be held on January 13th, on campus at 2:00 p.m. The second will be on January 21st, at Lake Lillian at 12:30 p.m. If you know of anyone interested in learning more about homeschooling and/or CC, please invite them to attend a meeting.

Registration for 2016-2017 is Now Available.

I realize that it is a bit early to begin making commitments to something that is 8 months away. However, I will need to know within the next few weeks how many families plan to join us again next year (hopefully everyone!) so that I may plan accordingly.

There has not been a price increase, so the cost will remain the same.
