Worthington Park Shark Sentinel

Friday, December 11th, 2020

Dear Worthington Park Families,

If you ordered school pictures this year and have not picked them up, they are available here in the office, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-3:00 pm. If you are unable to pick them up next week, we will send home these photos with students upon our return to in-person learning in January.

Just a reminder, if your child is in need of lunch during remote learning, we have meals available- free of charge, to pick up school lunch. Families can preorder meals online. Meal Pickup is happening here at Worthington Park between 11:00 am-11:30 am each day until December 18th. For more information please head to the district food service website here

On Monday, December 21, and Tuesday, December 22nd- meals will be available for pick up throughout the district. Please see the image below for more information!

Just a reminder that our students will be starting Winter Break on Monday, December 21. The building will reopen on Monday, January 4th. During this time the front office will also be closed. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us via email during this time to help support your students!

As we transition to 2021 from 2020, it is our current plan to return to Hybrid learning on January 4th. While we cannot speak to what Franklin County will look like in the coming three-four weeks, we are actively preparing for the return to our A-Day and B-Day schedules as we did this fall under the guidance of the Worthington Board of Education. As we get closer to January 4th, more communication will come out from myself and the district in regards to our plan of education.

The Worthington Board of Education will hold its next meeting on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. With the Stay at Home Advisory in place, the scheduled meeting for the Worthington City Schools Board of Education on Monday night, December 14, has been changed to a virtual format via Zoom. It can be viewed live at this link.

Please remember that if you, your child, or a member of your family has been in direct exposure to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 you do need to report this to our school district via our district website linked here. (We are also asking you to submit a form if a member of your family goes to get a Covid test and you are awaiting the results)

If your child is showing any ill symptoms including fever, sore throat, difficulty breathing, etc. please reach out to our school nurse and keep your child at home. While we do hate having students miss days here at school- your child's safety is our main priority!
