A Message from the Principal
Dear Holy Family Catholic Community,
Last year Father Hoa had a dream to host a parent gathering to discuss the beauty and power of the Domestic Church and the important role that parents have in the religious formation of their children. Learning more about the Domestic Church is especially appealing given the name of the patron saints of our church and school, the Holy Family. Those plans, like many, went by the wayside with our COVID stay at home orders last quarter.
What is the Domestic Church? “The term Domestic Church refers to the family, the smallest body of gathered believers in Christ. Though recovered only recently, the term dates all the way back to the first century AD. The Greek word ecclesiola referred to “little church.” Our Early Church Fathers understood that the home was fertile ground for discipleship, sanctification, and holiness.” http://www.catholiccincinnati.org/ministries-offices/family-life/family/parenting/what-is-a-domestic-church/
Now, the Father Hoa’s and my dream is becoming a reality through a book study of Father Ronald Rolheiser’s small but spiritually mighty book, Domestic Monastery. This book will help us understand how our homes and family life have their own spiritual rhythm to nurture and grow within. My thanks go to our Catholic Mission Committee for hosting this event. We will meet via Zoom on October 21 and October 27 at 7:00pm. The book is available at Amazon. More information to follow!
Thank you and God bless,
Ann Walters

Grandparents Day Goes Virtual!
Grandparents will be invited to start the day with celebrating Mass virtually with our students.
We are working on what the rest of the morning will look like.
We have many of your grandparent names and mailing addresses, however, we do not have many email addresses. In order to Zoom invite them into your child's classroom, we will need their email address. If you will send me the email addresses, I will make sure they get the Zoom invites into the student classrooms.
