A Message From Principal Hernandez

Dear Roadrunner Families,

I hope this update finds you and your family well. It is hard to believe students are in their last three weeks of school. This is certainly not the way we wanted things to end but are comfortable in knowing that we are all doing what is in everyone's best interest. The teachers have done an amazing job delivering a meaningful educational experience and students continue to participate and complete daily assignments. As we wrap up the school year, please join me in continuing to encourage and motivate our students in Distance Learning. Not knowing what next school year may bring, it is imperative that our students have daily routines, participate daily and complete assigned tasks/assignments. Thank you for your continued efforts!

Thank you for your continued support!

If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Hernandez via email at Jhernandez@tvusd.us

Distance learning will end on Friday, May 29th. While teachers may encourage or suggest fun activities for you to participate in at home during the week of June 1st, work will not be assigned to be turned in. As always, we hope you will continue to participate in our online programs such as Moby Max, BranPop and Raz Kids. All 3 programs will be available to our students during the summer months.

Returning Devices:

As of today, we have not been given direction on how and when chromebooks will be returned or students picking up their materials. You will be notified as soon as a decision has been made. Thank you again to all the parents and guardians that have been supporting our Roadrunners at home during distance learning the last six weeks!

We know how important your student’s education is to you. We are also aware of the impact their academic schedules may have on your family. Therefore, we are requesting your participation in a survey regarding your interest in possible models of learning. While our model will ultimately be designed and guided in alignment with future state and fiscal mandates, your input will provide us with information to help us plan for the upcoming 2020/21 school year. Please complete the survey by clicking the link below. Your responses are anonymous. Please be assured we are steadfast in our commitment to student learning and our partnership with you, our parents. We would appreciate your feedback ASAP.

Ms. Burrow and our fabulous 5th grade teachers have been hard at work creating an awesome virtual 5th grade promotion celebration. We are sad we will not be together on campus to acknowledge your hard work, but want all of our 5th graders to know how incredibly proud we are of each and every one of you. The virtual promotion video will be sent to all 5th graders on Thursday, June 4th.

Margarita Middle School welcomes parents and students to this exciting and brief overview of middle school. Mr. Legg will be available for questions and individual phone appointments if needed.
