Present and Prepared
Next Tuesday, October 30th, the Bellingham School District is hosting a forum at Bellingham High School on helping kids avoid opioid, substance and prescription drug use.
During the school day, the panel will present to all students in grade 8-12. Please contact the counseling office, if for any reason you do not want your child to attend this school assembly.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m. there will be resource tables and a display of Hidden In Plain Sight, provided by the Worcester County District Attorney's Office. Hidden In Plain Sight is a teen bedroom demonstration that gives parents tips to look for if they suspect drug or alcohol use.
At 6:00 p.m. Michael Connor, BHS Athletic Director, will meet with parents to review the athletic handbook and guidelines.
At 6:30 p.m. there will be a Panel Presentation featuring the Bellingham Police Department, Fire Department, CVS Pharmacy, and BHS Alumnus. They will talk specifically about the dangers and signs of substance abuse and provide an opportunity for questions and answers.
This is a very important topic and is open to all families in the Bellingham District, K-12. We hope to see you there.
Please fill out the form below if there are any questions you would like the panel to answer during the presentation.
