SHALOM CHRISTMAS FLOAT
Many thanks to all who helped with the float that was in the 45th Annual Chambersburg Holiday Parade. The theme of our float was, “JESUS—Savior, Shepherd, King.” A special thank you to Tiff Hess (SCA class of ’96) who did an exceptional job and put many extra hours into creating a beautiful float! Other SCA alums who helped in many ways: Lamar Lehman (class of ’95), owner of Extreme Manufacturing and Diller Ag, who provided the trailer and welded the frame for our theme banner; Doug Hess (class of ’95) who assisted his wife with float construction; and Ben Peckman (class of ’96) who borrowed an amazing new tractor and piloted our float through the streets of Chambersburg!! Also, many thanks to the students and parents who participated on the float and carried the new Shalom banner. The float committee was comprised of Tiff Hess, Deb MacAskill, and Sherri Mull.
ELEMENTARY MUSIC CLASS NEED
If you have a bongo, conga, djembe or smaller type hand drum that you never use and would like to donate to the music dept., the students would be so grateful. Drumming has become a favorite activity in music class and it's great for teaching rhythm, playing together in a group (ensemble work) and just plain fun.
