Shop Classes

West Haven Board of Education is trying to get rid of shop classes here at West Haven High because they believe we can do all of it with computers. These shop classes could be the key to our future. Forming our future leaders in the Automotive Tech and in the Construction Tech businesses. Who's gonna build our houses, not computers. Who's gonna fix our cars, not computers. We need to learn these things now so we do not run into this trouble later on.

  • Shop classes have been around since West Haven High School was first moved to where it is now
  • These classes teach us kids the important things for your life ahead(ex. Teaches math in cunstruction as well as how to build sheds)
  • Shop classes are the key to our future because if you need someone to fix your car or fix your house it will cost thousands but if you do it yourself that price could be cut down by half or even more

This protest will be held on September 24, 2014 at The Board of Education building at 1:00 p.m. To 6:00 p.m.
