The Lion's Pride
Special Alumnae Edition - March 2015
From the Desk of Kathryn Woodson Barr, McAuley's Head of School...
Lately, I have been so impressed by the momentum here at McAuley. From the energy of our alumnae and current students - to the dynamism of our upcoming events - McAuley truly is the place to be!
A group of enthusiastic and committed alumnae are working hard to help tell the McAuley story by inspiring young women to consider the All-Girl Advantage and by encouraging donors to support all that we do here. Their "Proud to Plaid" campaign will be contagious in the coming weeks and months! Read about it below, and join their impressive efforts!
And speaking of impressive efforts, have you seen the news lately, which seems to have been splashed with everything McAuley? From stories on the Social Media Club's podcasting efforts - to a feature on McAuley's biggest sports fan, Sister Edward Mary - we are garnering the headlines and, once again, sharing the uniqueness that is McAuley.
This amazing momentum continues with our upcoming "Traditions" Auction & Mercy Medal Presentation, when we pay tribute to Candace Anderson-Ek, Sister Edward Mary Kelleher and Joseph Kilmartin's 100 combined years of love, dedication and service to McAuley. I hope you can see this celebration for yourself on April 11.
With sincere thanks for the part you play in supporting the McAuley Advantage,
Kathryn Woodson Barr
Head of School
