A Message From Mrs. Warren & Mr. Wildey

Dear Parents,

Next week we will begin the second part of ISTEP testing. Please keep our students and staff in prayer. Most of the grades will have four mornings of testing, and a few will have five mornings. Make sure your student has a healthy breakfast and receives proper rest for testing days.

As we complete the last stretch of this school year, we are working on being diligent so we can finish the race well. It is often the last stretch that is the most difficult. We are praying that we will be strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that we may have great endurance and patience as Colossians 1:11 states.

In Christ,

Mrs. Warren

Mr. Wildey

a special thank you to:

  • George Cockrell, Summer Barkes, & Heather Gregg for helping write the Chapel Chats.

Mrs. Warren asked the students to come up with examples of Christian characteristics. Replies were: kindness, leadership, loving, caring, & compassion.

She then asked for examples of worldly goals (things that can be oppositions and distractions to our focus). Replies were: technology, extra-curricular activities, relationships, things we want to do.

Focus of study was "Focusing on worthy goals instead of distractions."

Nehemiah 4 - Nehemiah used self-discipline and diligence to push (lead) the people to rebuild the wall. He didn't allow the distraction of the enemies who were trying to stop their progress to get in the way.

How can we stay self-disciplined and diligent to finish out our school year? What are worthy goals? Pray for focus and strength, do homework, give grace to classmates and teachers.

Mark 16:6-7

Regardless of our past, God wants a relationship with us. Mr. Heaton gave students a time to reflect and pray about past mistakes or failures. He challenged students to leave with a new outlook on God and their relationship with him.

Please ask them to contact me via email or phone if they know of anyone who would be willing to offer their services. Since it's so many different types of settings and lighting we need someone who is more professional and not a novice like myself.

Order your yearbook today!

Fill out the order form and return to school with payment by April 28, 2017. Cost is $20. Form available here.
