From Mrs. Hopkins
Holidays, The Great Teacher Search, and more!
First, I had a great time in Tennessee with mine and Les's families, but I missed you guys so much! I'll be so glad to see the kids Monday. I hope each and every one of you had a great time over the holidays.
We are still searching for new teachers to join our 5th grade team. Mrs. Watts and I will be working even more closely together to ensure that all of our students get the best education possible even through this time of transition.
Math for the next quarter holds more fractions! We will be starting off the next 9 weeks with fraction multiplication and division before moving into the Coordinate Plane. We will also be reviewing skills from the first half of the year to make sure no one loses that information! I strongly encourage everyone to look back over the notes we took and review at home.
Science will be moving into life science with Body Systems and Genetics (two of my very favorites to teach!). This quarter in Science is very detailed and will involve a lot of notes and maybe a project or two!
As always, I am grateful for every single one of you - kids and adults. You all are the reason I keep doing what I do! Thank you for being awesome.
Bye for now,
