Miss Nelson is Missing!
A Comedy adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher
Based on the book by Harry Allard & James Marshall
Miss Nelson can't control her crazy classroom because she's just too nice. But when she disappears, her replacement is the hard-as-nails, detention-loving, recess-canceling, homework-overloading substitute teacher Viola Swamp! With the Big Test approaching, the kids suddenly realize how much they miss Miss Nelson and they'll do anything -- including hiring a private eye -- to solve the mystery of her disappearance and bring her back.
Shape Your Future in Park Hill
You'll soon have the opportunity to make sure you're counted in the 2020 Census! As the U.S. Constitution requires every 10 years, the U.S. Census Bureau will count every person living in our country. Starting in mid-March, every home will receive a questionnaire, which asks about the people living in the home, including their names and demographic information, such as age, sex and race. You can respond online, on the phone or through the mail.
It is important for all of us to take 10 minutes to participate, because the results impact everyone in our schools. The data determines how the government spends more than $675 billion across the nation, including funding for school lunches, services and support for low-income families, education grants, community classes and more. In addition, the census determines how we are represented on the state and federal levels.
The 2020 census records will be confidential until 2092.

Welcome New Kindergartners!
Do you have a student ready to start kindergarten? Or, if you have a friend or neighbor that may have an incoming kindergarten student, but does not receive this newsletter, please share this information!
Starting April 1st, families with children entering kindergarten in the Park Hill School District in August 2020 can enroll their children in their assigned school. Incoming Kindergarten students who attended Gerner Early Childhood programs simply need to complete the residency verification process.
Children who turn five, on or before July 31st, are eligible for kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year. After you enroll, mark your calendar for the Kindergarten Roundup event at Tiffany Ridge on May 4th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. For more information, please visit https://www.parkhill.k12.mo.us/parent_resources/enroll_in_park_hill.
Nominate a Staff Member for the Park Hill STAR Award
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students.
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee. Anyone can nominate an employee for this award by using the form below. It asks you to share how your nominee demonstrates our district values of continuous improvement, high expectations, integrity, visionary leadership and student focus. You can also share how your nominee supports the goals in our district’s strategic plan.

Box Tops for Education
You might have noticed some changes with many Box Tops products you've purchased recently. Box Tops for Education (BTFE) is going digital! If you see the BTFE label on any products, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt. Box Tops are still worth 10 cents for your school. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to your school's earnings online. Just download the app, sign up for free, choose TIFFANY RIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, and scan away. Receipts need to be scanned within 2 weeks of purchase. BTFE is phasing out the traditional Box Tops clips, but you can still send them to the school and we can still get 10 cents for every Box Tops clip. Thank you for helping raise money for our students!
