Reminders and updates from Chippewa Middle School
Welcome Back Day - Thursday, August 22nd!
A few things to know: We have an open house that goes from 2-7 pm and we invite families during this time frame into the gym to turn in forms, get their schedules and locker combinations, check in with various organizations, and get their pictures taken in the cafeteria.
Starting at 4 pm, teachers will be in their classrooms, ready to greet families. Teachers are in meetings until 4 pm, so if you'd like to quickly meet the teachers, please plan to come anytime from 4 -7 pm. Please note, we had a very busy summer here at Chippewa! We happily hosted many summer programs since our building was not under construction this year. As such, we haven't had our usual time to fully prepare our building or individual classrooms. Please know we will be ready on day one... but might not yet look our best on Thursday.
Additionally, beginning at 4 pm, our parent organization, ChAC, will be hosting a BBQ outside by the cafeteria. We'd love to have everybody come out back where students go outside after lunch during the school day see the awesome equipment ChAC has provided for us, and grab something to eat.
We cannot wait to see you all!
Bring your forms!
Chippewa’s Welcome Back mailing was sent out at the beginning of August that contained the Student Profile form (Yellow Form) and Bus and Technology form (Blue Form). These forms are needed to receive your student schedule.
ChAC - CHIPPEWA ADVISORY COUNCIL
ChAC (Chippewa's parent group) provides resources and hosts events that promote student connectedness. As a parent or guardian of a Chippewa student you are already a part of ChAC. Stop at the ChAC table at Welcome Back Day to learn more about what they do, sign up to volunteer for events or donate to the Direct Drive. To learn more about ChAC visit the ChAC website. Also please stop at the ChAC sponsored BBQ during our Welcome Back Day (4-7 pm only) in the Chippewa courtyard, located just outside of the cafeteria.
