A Message from Ms. Massey
Dear Caldwell Families,
It is November already and we are now in quarter two of this school year. Our teachers and students are working hard to accomplish the goals we have set for them to achieve. Now that we are into the year, we are actively measuring students' academic progress and adjusting our small group instruction based on students' individual needs.
A huge THANK YOU to all of the parents who attended our parent/teacher conferences this past month. If you were not able to meet with your child’s teacher, the great news is that you can, at any time, schedule a conference with your child’s teacher.
We are so grateful to be surrounded by such amazing families and children each day everyday. Thank you for all you do to support us throughout the year.

This month our Character Strong trait is Perseverance, which is the ability to work through situations even when there are obstacles or challenges in the way.
Here are some conversation starters you can have with your child at home: Share a personal story about perseverance with your child. What were your challenges? What or who helped you persevere? What lesson did you learn?

November 9th-15th: Each class will come to the library for Bingo and Books. Every student will receive a brand new book to take home and keep at home. An easy way to tell if it is a Caldwell Library book that needs to be returned instead of a book to keep at home is that the library book has a Caldwell Library barcode on the front.
December 6th-12th: Hour of Code is a time for students to participate in coding activities for all ages. Check out the Hour of Code website for more information: https://hourofcode.com/us
December 13th-17th: Come do some holiday shopping at the Scholastic Book Fair. Proceeds benefit the Caldwell Library. We will be open during class holiday parties on December 17th!
