The United States
Landforms and Waterways
The United States is like a giant roller coaster. If I start in the west I will be by the Pacific Ocean. Then, there are the Pacific Ranges and Basins. As you go to the east, you will come across valleys and then the very high Rocky Mountains. After the mountains, the land evens out and consists of the Great Plains. Next comes the Appalachian Mountains, which have been shrinking in size because of erosion. After these mountains the land levels out again with the Coastal Plains, and then the Atlantic Ocean.
