KATY ISD's Very Own Pre-K Conference
This two-day conference will have invigorating sessions with a focus on the social and emotional development in early childhood.
- The Conscious Discipline method will present seven skills that transform everyday discipline issues into teachable moments, equipping children with the social-emotional and communication skills needed to manage themselves, resolve conflict and develop healthy behavior. (Composure, Encouragement, Assertiveness, Choices, Empathy, Positive Intent, and Consequences)
- Rice School of Literacy and Culture will also be presenting a hands on session that impacts child development while linking early literacy to the building process during block play that expands on oral language and vocabulary.
- The Children’s Learning Institute will provide training on building a parent connection to support children’s development.
