Membership Forms
· Hand out forms to every student in your class and department
· Keep copies in a folder by the door for those students that forget their forms
· Include the membership form with the class syllabus
· Include the multiple release form on the back of the membership form

Fall Leadership Rally
Save the Date, September 26, for the Fall Leadership Rally.
The rally will be held at Purdue University. Student will have the opportunity to explore campus, develop leadership, and have fun. This rally will be geared towards high school students. There is a capacity on the meeting space so please register early to guarantee your students are able to attend. A separate middle school event will be held in October.

Indiana FCCLA President meets VU President
Indiana Students Succeed at Nationals
Anaheim, California– More than 200 Family, Career and Community Leaders of America members, advisers, alumni, and guests from around Indiana gathered in Anaheim, California for the FCCLA National Leadership Conference. The students represented 25 chapters and 24 schools from Indiana. The National Leadership Conference had an attendance of over 8,000.
Five Indiana students represented Indiana in the Knowledge Bowl/Life Smarts event. This event highlights the students’ knowledge of Family and Consumer Sciences and Employability Skills. The Indiana Team made the national competition by qualifying at the Fall National Meeting. These students were Molly Graham, Hannah Weiler, Eva Grimm, Hayley Lewis and Alli Beard.
Indiana had 103 STAR event competitors and these students were awarded 34 gold medals, 54 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals (For detailed information about STAR event competitors see Press Release Attached).
Two Indiana Students were awarded prestigious scholarships for their events in fashion construction.
Doria Day from Bloomington FCCLA and Felicia Sanders from Carmel High School
· 1 year full ride scholarship to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising
Indiana had 14 students that were Top Five Finishers and 27 students that were Top Ten Finishers.

Two more new adviser trainings will be held in August.
