2021-22 School Opening Plans
On August 12, the Board of Education finalized the School Opening Plan for the start of the 2021-22 school year. At this time, face coverings will be required for all students, staff, and visitors ages 3 and older while indoors at Platte County School District buildings.
What this means:
- Face coverings will be required in all PCR-3 buildings starting August 13, 2021.
- Face coverings should be worn when entering our buildings and when moving about in buildings. When physical distancing can be maintained, persons are actively eating or drinking, or when physically exerting, face coverings may be removed.
- In general, people do not need to wear face coverings when outside, including recess for elementary students.
- Face coverings will continue to be required for all individuals on a school bus per federal order.

Meet the Teacher Night-August 19
A-K attend from 5:00pm to 5:45pm
L-Z attend from 6:00pm to 6:45pm
If you are unable to attend during the designated time, please adjust to your needs and attend at the time that works for your schedule.
At the Meet theTeacher Night, your child will be able to visit his/her classroom and meet his/her teacher for the upcoming school year. This is also a great time for families to drop off your child’s school supplies. If you have ordered your supplies online, they will be in your child’s classroom at Back to School Night. You will also be able to drop of medications to the nurse, check on transportation, and drop off proof of residency. A YClub representative will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about their before and after school program.
Following the PCR3 opening plan, face coverings are required for all visitors. We appreciate your continued support and partnership in creating a safe and caring environment for everyone.
Free Meals for All Students
The District has been approved to serve free meals to ALL students, as well as community members age 18 and under through the end of this school year (2021-22), regardless of meal status. Children can receive up to one breakfast and one lunch each day. Additional meals and a la carte items (extra milk, extra entrees, chips, etc.) are not included in the waiver. If you think you may qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch, please fill out the form linked here, so that you are covered when this free program ends. This form is not required to receive the free meals under this waiver, but helps us assist families in various other ways.
