Human Trafficking can be defined as...


  • Sex trafficking- Where commercial sex act is urged by force, fraud or coercion, or in which a person is induced to perform such act, and has not reached 18 years of age

    or

  • The recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision or obtaining of a person for labor or services, through the use of force, fraud or coercion for the purpose of subjection to involuntary servitude, peonage, debt bondage or slavery.

How it Works

  • “Victims” pay money to be illegally transported to the United States

  • They end up in the hands of Traffickers, and are taken/purchased

  • Forced into prostitution, involuntary labor, and forms of servitude to pay back debts/fees.

  • “Victims” find themselves in the middle of a new culture, language, without knowing what to do.

Victims are Starved, Beaten, and Denied medical Attention
