Welcome to Robinson 21-22
I made a short video to welcome you to the new school year! I can't wait to see everyone at open house!
If you've not yet provided your input for our school vision, please take a few minutes to complete this brief three question survey sharing what you see for the future of Robinson and our students. We'd like families to provide input. Thanks for helping us to build our collective vision for Robinson!
If you're new to Robinson- please check out this webpage to learn more about us!
Our new kindergarten families should have received their first newsletter from me. If you did not receive it, please email Andrea Rybialek, our administrative assistant, at Andrea.Rybialek@kirkwoodschools.org. You may view the newsletter as well, by clicking here.
Thanks so much and enjoy the last few weeks of summer!

School Supplies
Visit our school webpage to view the list of supplies your child will need. Here is some information about the Bright SchoolKitz company.
Bright SchoolKitz is a mom-run, family-owned, mission-focused company. We offer competitively-priced, high-quality school supply kits, shipped to school or home, that are customized to your teachers' supply lists or bulk supplies ordered for the entire school. To give back to the community, we employ adults with developmental disabilities to hand pack a portion of our kits. You'll be pleased to know that with our service there are no fees or required minimum purchases. Most of us here at Bright SchoolKitz also volunteer at our kids' schools or within our communities, so we know your time is valuable; therefore, we strive to keep our program simple and convenient.
If your family needs support in securing school supplies- we can help with that. Please reach out via email to our counselors K-2 Indria Harris or 3-5 Julie Cohen.

Planning for the school year-message forthcoming
KSD leaders are working this week with the Health Advisory team to determine our protocols for this school year. We hope to be able to have communication out to families via the eSpotlight on August 4th.
The health and safety of our students and staff remains a top priority, and we will continue to keep you informed moving forward.

Free & Reduced Lunch Information
Although meals will be free to all children again this year; filling out and qualifying for free/reduced meals has the additional benefit of extending reduced costs for iPad/computer insurance and exam costs. In addition, because we are a Title I building based on the number of students qualifying for this program we as a building get additional funding. Currently we use this funding to provide a second counselor and Literacy Coach as well as additional programs and supplies for students. We will be providing these forms in paper copies at Open House and you may complete them ahead of time via this link: https://www.kirkwoodschools.org/Page/843
If you need confidential assistance with this process, please reach out to Mrs. Tonya Ampey-Elong, on school social worker.
Thanks!
Welcome to Robinson!
Dear Robinson Family,
On behalf of the Robinson PTO and community, we’d like to welcome you! As families who are new to Robinson or with first time kindergarteners, we hope you and your family have a great start to the school year. Starting a new school can be exciting and stressful for the whole family. We are here, alongside Dr. OH, to help you build connections and answer questions!
At Robinson, we have Grade Level Parent Guides to help you! You will receive an email from your Parent Guide in the next couple weeks to introduce themselves, share our electronic welcome packet and to tell you about some upcoming Grade Level Popsicles on the Playground where your student can meet other students and have a little fun this summer!
As a special welcome, every new student to Robinson receives a little swag at the start of the school year! This is our way of saying, “Get excited! You’re a Roadrunner!”
Please reach out if you have any questions or would like to get involved with a PTO committee/event.
