Welcoming summer....
We want to take a moment to thank each of you for your patience, perseverance and flexibility that you have shown over this last school year. We can probably all agree it has been the longest school year we have every experienced. We (teachers AND parents) all took on jobs we never thought possible and virtual teaching and learning s now something we can add to our bucket list of accomplishments. Our children walked through each transition of in person to virtual learning and back again, they did it together and continued to show #whitneystrong through it all. We are so proud of each our students! As we quickly approach the summer months please take a moment to express to your child(ren) that they are history makers and should be celebrated! They are the first to go through school during a pandemic while learning virtually and the first for having 5 "first days of school" all in one year!
Students stay #WhitneyStrong and show the Whitney Way to our community all summer long. Let's have a fun filled, relaxing and low tech summer!!
Sincerely,
Jolene Lincoln & Monica Nydegger

Whitney families,
If you did not see the recent announcement, I have been asked to serve as the Principal at Hawthorne Elementary next year. Goodbyes are always hard and especially tough thinking about leaving this amazing school family.
There is no other place like Whitney! These last two years it has been a true privilege to part of such a tight community and an honor to serve your families and work with your kids.
Thank you for welcoming me into the Whitney family with open arms and hearts. I will miss this community tremendously, but find comfort knowing I am going to be just a few blocks down the road. I look forward to hopefully still seeing you and your kids around the community in the future.
With Gratitude,
Monica Nydegger
