Career Exploration
Reading
This week in reading we used our knowledge from bend one and dove deeper into the stories as we began bend two. We are starting to look at the symbolism and metaphorical "dragons" in their fantasy texts. Mostly all students have finished at least one fantasy book in their series, and so many are reading further in the series now!
Please continue to encourage your kids to read NIGHTLY at home, write in their notebooks, and record their reading on the log.
Math
In math this week students created their own neighborhoods by plotting points on a coordinate plane. Then they created clues and worked with a partner to see if they could match each other's neighborhoods.
Writing
This week in writing the students were introduced to the memoir unit! This unit is a fun one to end with!
