Welcome back to Term 4 2018
Yesterday Mr Kershaw and I spent some time with R2 students while Ms Zimmerman was teaching (releasing Ms Gibson). The students and teachers were delighted with the squeals and chatter of the kids holding and observing the worms. I must say there some hilarious explanations and ideas.... love, love love junior explorers.
Mr Sigurdsson has been working alongside the Mountain Bike Track Team this week as well. With the beautiful weather we have had, the team are right back into this project.
Over the break, Mr Harland and his son Matthew prepared our running tracks in readiness for Athletics, Ian and Sarah Broughton put up our Leaf Cutter Bee Hive (Stingless Bees) and our raised garden beds were weeded and prepared.
Our super gardeners, assisted me with planting seeds, seedlings and potatoes in our raised garden beds. We await with enthusiasm as these plants grow, ready to eat.
Today our Kapa Haka Students were in fine voice as they had their sessions - see our video clip of the Seniors practising. Check out the link on our Facebook Page
