Yearbook Reminder!
To the parents of Mrs. Bradbury and Mrs. Croft’s students:
Hello! I am your student’s art teacher at Central Elementary. We have been given an opportunity to put up pet portraits at the Olathe Animal Shelter. With the help of several high school students, your student will be able to draw and paint a portrait to decorate the shelter! Soooo, do you have a pet at home OR one in your extended family that your kids LOVE to play with? If so, please email a picture to Mrs. Crawford at ccrawfordce@olatheschools.org. If you don’t have a picture of any pets your child plays with, that’s okay! The staff at Central Elementary will provide a pet picture for your student to use. Here’s what I need: A full body picture of the beloved animal, the animal’s name, and which student it belongs to. Here’s my example: Wiggles is Mrs. Crawford’s cat
Thanks, and have a nice day! Candace

January & February Character Trait: Responsibility
All students in the school should know our character trait focus each month. Please make sure you are going over with students regularly giving examples and highlighting students when they are demonstrating this trait.
To be able to answer to one’s conduct and obligations
To be able to choose for oneself between right and wrong.
Something for which one is responsible; a duty, obligation, or burden
The overall focus should be helping students be answerable and accountable for their actions. To demonstrate responsibility, students are making an effort to
- Take responsibility for themselves and their actions.
- Come to school prepared and ready to learn.
- Choose to do the right thing all the time.
- Consider the safety of others and ourselves.
