So much information, so little time. Where do I start?

There is a lot of information available in our digital universe. How do you know what to trust? Where do you start?

It can be overwhelming. Take a look at this short presentation regarding finding and citing sources of information. If you have any questions, email Mrs. Blue for assistance!

Check out these great apps and tools for students!

Khan Academy - A perennial favorite! A non profit organization with lessons and courses for Math, Humanities, Science and Test Preparation.

Photomath - A great app to help with your math homework. Just use the app to scan a picture of your problem. Check your work or have the concept explained to you.

Sololearn - For coding enthusiasts from beginner to pro. This is a free site with a paid pro version with additional features.

Do you need to turn in your books from last year?

You can still clear your fees before it is too late. Bring your textbooks to the library before or after school.

If you have questions, you can email Mrs. Blue.

Notes from the circ desk...

I am so excited to be back on the Oakmont campus this year! Many exciting changes are on the horizon. Be on the lookout for our MakerSpace Lite which will feature arts and crafts, drawing supplies and board games. In addition, we will be adding more titles to our collection including graphic novels, eBooks and digital audio books. Reading can take place in many different ways!

I am looking forward to working more closely with our teachers this year and also spending quality time with a good book. Currently, I am reading Chlorine Sky by Mahogany Browne and Punching the Air by Ibi Zoboi and Yusef Salaam.
