Difference Between a Primary and Secondary Source
Example of a Primary Source
Topic: Cause of the Revolutionary War
Primary Source: The Declaration of Independence is a Primary Source because the document was written in the time period of the Revolutionary War opposing King George III
and everything Great Britain did wrong which lead to wanting independence
Example of a Secondary Source
Topic : Cause of the Revolutionary War
Secondary Source: This is a Secondary Source because the Georgia Textbook was not written in the time period of the Revolutionary War and is based from Primary Sources
Non-Example of a Primary Source
Topic : Causes of the Civil War
Primary Source non-example : The image isnt a Primary Source because it wasnt written during the time period of the Civil War instead it is an artical based from Primary Sources making it a Secondary Source
Non-Example of a Secondary Source
Topic : Causes of the Civil War
Non-Example of a Secondary Source : The images is not a Secondary Source because it is a Document of the Fugative Slave Act Law that was written in the time period of the Civil War that is not an artical based on and piece of information from Primary Sources which therefore makes it a Primary Source
