Physical Changes

What is a physical change?
A physical change is when anything changes in shape, size, state/phase of matter, and color.Physical changes can also be, melting, freezing, boiling, evaporation, condensation, subulation, dissolving. An example of a physical change is sublimating dry ice, this is a physical change because when you sublimate the dry ice with hot water this will cause smoke to come out of the dry ice which would be an example of evaporation. Exportation is an ideal part of showing what a physical change is.
Dry ice
Dry ice is very important in this physical change process because without it there wouldn't be any example of a physical change.
Hot water
Hot water is really important in this physical change process because without it the dry ice wouldn't evaporate so no physical change would happen.
Evaporation
If hot water and dry ice didn't evaporate then the only example of a physical change would be the dry ice melting.
What are another example of a physical change?
Another example of a physical change is crushing a soda can with a hammer or any other way of crushing a soda can. It is a physical change because It changes its size and shape. It changes in size because when you crush the soda can it becomes small and mashed together. It changes in shape because it goes rom irregular shaped cylinder to a crumbled soda can.
Broken Pencil
A broken pencil is an example of a physical change because it changes its size because it goes from being one whole piece to two separate pieces.
Crumbled Paper
A crumbled paper is an example of a physical change because it changes it's size and shape. It changes in size because it goes from being a thin piece of paper to a tall bulky piece of paper. It changes in shape because it goes from a rectangular shape to a 3- dimensional circle.
Brreaking Glass
Breaking glass is an example of a physical change because it changes its size and shape. When you break a glass it shatters into tiny little pieces, the size changes into little broken pieces of glass. The glass changes in shape because when it break it changes into rectangular little tiny broken glass pieces.
