CELC News & Updates
CELC Families,
Happy October!
It was awesome to welcome our Cub families to our annual Teddy Bear Picnic last week. We were blessed with amazing weather on both days! Please share any cute pictures that you took at the picnic. Send them to sgreen@alpineschools.net . We would love to see some of your memories!
The CELC PTA held their first meeting on Friday morning. This amazing group got us organized for the school year. They discussed membership, upcoming events, and ways to support our students and staff. Thank you for your work! We appreciate you so much! The Membership Drive is booming. The top TK and K classroom will earn a pizza party. See information below about the upcoming Turkey Trot!
Here are a few updates to help keep you informed:
Thank you to the parents who attended Pastries with the Principal. Is was great to connect with you! Our next one is scheduled for December 18th.
Students are expected to follow school rules while on campus. Please help support safe, responsible, and respectful behavior while you are on campus with them before and after school.
As a reminder, the playground is not open for families/students dismissed at 1:35 pm. The area is still being utilized for CELC kindergarteners and ESS students. Thank you for your support.
We LOVE volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity, please pick up the required paperwork in the office. Please take the time to do it now. If you are not up-to-date on your TB clearance, make sure you allow time to get that done. We also need time to complete a background check.
- Please send your student to school each day with a backpack, refillable water bottle, a healthy snack, and a lunch (unless they are getting a cafeteria lunch).
For the safety and security of students and staff, gates are locked during school hours.
- Please use the front gate for entering and exiting the campus. the side gates are for employees only and must remain closed.
Please report any absences to your child's teacher and the office. Please let the office know the reason that your child is out and any symptoms if they are sick. Email Mary Barkely, our amazing Clerk or call the office at 619-659-8250.
Before and after school care is available. Please see the flyer below or contact Aimee Hatfield, AUSD's ESS Coordinator, at ahatfield@alpineschools.net if you have any questions.
