Useful People and Resources in my Community
SOCIAL STUDIES The social studies emphasis for this unit is on the roles and responsibilities of community helpers. Students will also work on demonstrating knowledge of school rules by following school routines and procedures
SCIENCE Science topics to read, discuss, investigate, and describe include natural resources in the environment such as rocks, soil, sand, water, and trees. You’ll also emphasize the importance of caring for the environment by picking up trash, recycling, and turning off lights and water faucets when not in use.
