Liana's Legacy

Mark your calendars for our annual citizenship event, Liana’s Legacy on Friday, June 3 from 5:30 – 8:30 PM.

We hope you can join us for food and games at this family fun night.

In honor of Liana's Legacy's 15th anniversary, we will focus on pediatric oncology with the goal of sending a local family to Camp Sunshine – a camp for critically ill children and their families. Additional proceeds will be used to provide help for Doyle students in need.

Pocket Meadow Coming to Doyle!

Doyle Elementary has been selected to receive a pocket meadow from Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve. This special habitat would serve as an outdoor classroom that supports and enhances current curriculum as well as provides food and shelter for native pollinators and butterflies. The installation date is yet to be determined. The Garden Committee is looking for committed volunteers who can help with one or more of the following things:

  • help prepare the habitat site
  • help install the plants
  • be part of the water and weed crew (post planting).

If you would like to be a part of this extraordinary opportunity, please email Garden Committee Chair Barbara Kielbania at barbk09@yahoo.com. We will keep you updated as the project progresses. Thanks!

Volunteers for Garden Committee Needed

The garden committee is also planning to plant a vegetable garden in the fenced in area behind the school. We need volunteers to help weeding, preparing the soil, and planting and tending to the vegetables in the spring, throughout the summer and into the fall.

If you are interested to help, please contact Barb Kielbania at barbk09@yahoo.com.
