Dear Oak Ridge Families,
Christmas Spirit Week is in full force until Christmas break. "Christmas Around The World" will happen on the 19th with a special hot chocolate treat for our students that day. Students have decorated suitcases (brown paper bags), and have passports (educational handouts to collect geographic and cultural information about each country) as they travel around the world (classroom to classroom) to learn about Christmas traditions in other countries. "Christmas Around The World" information is listed below. Thank you teachers (especially Mrs. Seyer) for all your hard work on this project!
If you get the chance, ask your children if they happen to know where my roller skates have gone. I have been looking high and low for them. I would really like to have them back before Christmas break.
Please come and join us on December 21st in the old gym for the 2nd quarter celebration. School will dismiss for Christmas break at 12:30PM, Wednesday, December 21st, just after the 2nd quarter celebration. School will resume for second semester on January 3rd for staff only and on January 4th for staff and students.
There will be no After School Adventure Club on December 21st when students dismiss at 12:30PM for Christmas break.
I am truly enjoying all the Christmas fun. Most importantly, I remember THE REASON for the season! The Oak Ridge Elementary staff wishes all our parents and students a very Merry Christmas!
Sincerely,
Sonia Wood
